He is probably best known for his intelligent and humorous essays dealing with everything from boxing, writing, music, holiday bashing, losing weight and critical thoughts on other authors but John G. The Poetry Foundation Media Initiative along with WGBH/Boston and docUWM have created Poetry Everywhere, a series of more than 60 diverse short poetry films.  The films feature poets reading their own work, animated interpretations of poems, and celebrities reading their personal favorites. The series is produced by WGBH and David Grubin Productions, filmmaker Leita Luchetti, and student filmmakers at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s docUWM media center. Poetry Everywhere  films are available to public television stations as free interstitial content. The student-produced animated films are broadcast on transit TV systems across the country.
